If you are a user of assistive technology, have a print or mobility disability, or just want to be able to use your smartphone as a personal shopping assistant, then tune in as Laura interviews the founder of Conversant Labs. Chris Maury will demonstrate how the new app, Say Shopping, makes using your iPhone to shop with a major retailer as simple as chatting with a friend. If you will be attending the 75th annual convention of the National Federation of the Blind, you can also find Chris giving demos in the Target Stores booth, B43-44, as well as the Elegant Insights Braille Creations booth, C6. Welcome back to Fashionability, there are going to be some changes ahead over the next few months.
Fashionability is moving to a brand new home! After such an amazing response on audioboom we thought it was about high time we expand on Fashionability and embark on a new stage of our adventure.
The new domains have already been secured, the blog content is being relocated, and the audio media will soon be transferred over to our own RSS feed. While we have enjoyed using the AudioBoom platform, and appreciate all they have done to provide us with a simple way to reach our audience, they have also made some changes to their platform and terms of service that are in conflict with our goals. Please watch this space for more announcements as to our timetable, where you can find the new home of the podcast, and how you can listen without missing an episode. At some point, we will be requesting that you unsubscribe from the AudioBoom channel feed, and resubscribe to our new feed. We may still post to AudioBoom our monthly updates and other information, if we can do this without too much complication. But, we will keep you posted on our progress and we cannot wait to show you what we will be doing.
We are also working on getting a team of transcribers to help us to make the episodes into transcriptions for our hard of hearing listeners, so if you are or your know anyone who might be interested please contact either myself or Laura on firstname.lastname@example.org.
But, for now you can still follow us via the links below…
Welcome back to Fashionability, today Emily shares a scoop into her latest What are You Wearing instalment by talking about her outfit she wore to the Vision UK Conference 2015.
In this episode of Changing Perceptions, Laura interviews the founder of Runway of Dreams, a non-profit organization that collaborates with the fashion industry to adapt mainstream affordable clothing lines with wearable tech for people with disabilities.
